I have been making knives since mid 2006, my first project was a simple handle for a full tang blade and from that I began to do more & more knife kits until I made my first blade late 2007 on a simple belt grinder at home, from then I have built up my workshop and practiced my grinding technique. Nowadays I use a MAG grinder with variable speed control for stock removal blades. Most of my work is stock removal from O1 carbon tool steel, RWL34 stainless steel & Damasteel, I also forge the occasional blade from time to time.

I was present at Knives UK 2009 where I displayed my work at a show for the first time, it was a very enjoyable experience and a great atmosphere. I won best of show for my Flintlock model & had a small section in Gunmart magazine.

I mainly use O1 carbon tool steel and Rwl34 stainless steel as they are both tough and user friendly. I will also use D2, S30V & 3V etc upon request. I use a variety of synthetic (micarta G10 etc) and natural materials. Most of the time I prefer to use stabilized woods over natural woods due to the stability once its finished. I am also happy to work with horn, bone & antler.

I am constantly trying to improve on my quality of work & hone my knife making skills. If you wish to place a custom order please get in touch and I’ll be happy to discuss your requirements.

Thank you for your interest in my work & taking to time to look around my site.

Stuart.
